How do you keep Pork Roast from drying out in the Crock Pot?

Pork Roast isn’t an overly fatty meat, so to prevent it drying out you want to be careful of the liquid content and the cook time. Overcooking will dry out the meat so be mindful of the amount of time you set on your slow cooker along with the temperature setting.

The ratio of liquid to meat is also important to ensure the meat is always in a marinade of juices, which will help retain moisture and tenderize the meat.

What seasonings go well with Pork?

Fresh, aromatic herbs are always a great choice for pork as they bring out the flavor of the meat without overpowering it. Rosemary, sage, tarragon, thyme, cinnamon, oregano, and sage are popular choices for seasoning pork meat.

Brown sugar, paprika, garlic, chili powder, and coriander are used for savory BBQ style rubs and marinades on pork meats and help to create a beautiful crust that locks in flavor and juices.
