What goes with Pork Chops for dinner?

Boneless pork chops are an excellent cut of meat, popular for its depth of flavor and versatility in foods that compliment. Pork pairs well with a variety of sides, and is popular with bbq marinades and sauces. The full bodied flavors compliment the slight sweet notes of the meat that brings balance to the acidic nature of the ingredients found in those sauces.

Pork can be enjoyed with anything from veggies and mashed potatoes, to warm rolls and cheese sauces. Our recipe brings together the deep acidic notes of beef broth and wine in the sauce that smothers the chops, with a side of cheese stuffed tortellini that adds a delicious creamy element and delicious richness.

What is the best tortellini to cook with?

Fresh pasta is always the best choice and this holds true for tortellinis and ravioli. Most of us aren’t going to make pasta from scratch, but we can purchase fresh made pastas from our grocers which is the next best thing. Our favorite tortellini is Kirkland Signature Five Cheese with Parmigiano Reggiano Tortelloni. You can use any fresh refrigerated cheese filled tortellini for this meal, just be sure it isn’t dried.

Dried tortellini tends to lack flavor and doesn’t cook as creamy and robust as the fresh, refrigerated varieties. We recommend a parmesan or multi cheese filled tortellini for a deeper flavor that will compliment the wine sauce.
