To start, soak overnight
4 Cups uncooked dried Pinto beans
Boil the beans for 2 hours or until soft and then drain out the water
In a skillet measure in
2 to 4 Tablespoons bacon fat
Then cook
I onion chopped fine
2 cloves garlic chopped fine
1/4 Cup jalapeños chopped fine
Put the drained beans in the large frying pan with the bacon fat, veggies, and season with
2 tsp. chili powder
1 Tablespoon cumin
Fry the beans on medium and stir them around occasionally until they break down and form a mush
Add water as needed to prevent the beans from drying out and adjust the water and seasonings as desired for your preferred consistency and taste
