To start, wash and scrub
6 medium sized Potatoes (Yukon Golds or Russets work best)
Make narrow uniformed cuts along the entire length of each potato
The cuts should be nearly all of the way through, but not fully
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees
*optional* you can soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which will get them even crispier
Brush the prepped potatoes with melted butter
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket or arrange them on your air fryer tray, making sure they're not overcrowded
*we recommend using tin foil*
In a small bowl whisk together
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 Cup parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1 tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Brush the mixture onto your potatoes
Use a knife to drive the seasoning and cheese gently between your potato slices
Cook for approximately 30 to 40 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through the cooking time
Cooking time will vary depending on the size of your potatoes
