To start, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F
Using your favorite cooking oil, prepare a deep 8 x 8 baking dish
Set a large pot of water to boil on the stovetop
To the boiling water add
17 oz. Noodles of your choice, and cook until al dente
Drain the noodles and set into a large bowl
While the noodles are cooling, prepare
3 Cups Ham-chopped
1-1/2 Cup sun dried tomatoes-chopped
1/2 Cup fresh basil-chopped
2 Cups cheddar cheese-shredded
1 Cup focaccia croutons-crushed
*optional*
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
In a 2 qt saucepan set to medium heat, whisk together
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
Once it thickens add
1 1/2 Cups milk
Stir and allow the sauce to thicken as you add the milk in parts
To the milk sauce add
1/2 Cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
All of the shredded cheese
When the consistency is saucy, rich and not too thick, remove from stove
You can use chicken broth to thin the sauce if desired
To the bowl of noodles, pour the sauce, ham, and prepped ingredients
Sprinkle in
1 Tablespoon bruschetta spices (or Italian spice blend)
Mix well and pour into the prepared baking dish
Cover with crushed croutons
Pour 1/2 Cup milk over the croutons
Sprinkle extra cheese if desired
Cover with tinfoil and bake for 35 minutes
Remove the tin foil and bake another 10 minutes until the top is lightly browned
