Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F In a mixing bowl cream together 3/4 Cup Butter, softened 1 Cup granulated sugar

To the creamed butter and sugar add 1 large egg 1 tsp. vanilla Mix until just blended and set aside

In a separate bowl mix together 1 Cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 Tablespoon baking powder 3/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Combine the wet and dry ingredients, being careful not to over mix the dough Form into one inch balls and place two inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet Bake 8 to 10 minutes  Cool on the cookie sheet for about 5 minutes then transfer to cooling rack
