To start, prep you pie plate
If you are making your own pie crust, do so now
If you are not making your own crust, you will need 1 unbaked pre-made crust
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
In a mixing bowl whisk
2 large eggs
1 Cup sour cream
Then add
1/2 Cup caramel sauce
1/4 Cup pure maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/3 Cup flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
Prep you favorite baking apples by washing, coring, and dicing
You will need
3 1/2 Cups apples
Add the apples to your mixing bowl and stir to combine
Pour the mixture in your pie crust, bake for 15 minutes
While the pie is par-baking, prepare the topping by mixing together
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/2 Cup walnuts (chopped fine)
3 Tablespoons cold butter (diced in small cubes)
Using a fork or pastry cutter combine the mixture until crumbly
Remove the pie from the oven
Sprinkle the sugar topping over top of pie
Return to oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until filling is set
