In a 2qt saucepan melt together1 stick butter2 Cups granulated sugar1/2 Cup milkand 4 Tbs cocoa powder
Bring the mixture to a full rolling boil for 1 minuteBe sure you are stirring constantly, and remove from heat at exactly 1 minute to prevent scorching
Immediately add 1/2 Cup creamy peanut butter 1 Tbs vanilla extractand3 Cups old fashioned or quick oats (your preference)Stir until everything is mixed and creamy
The mixture will be hot and slightly goopyPrepare the cookie surface by laying out strips of wax paper or tin foil
Using a spoon, drop cookies onto the prepared surface 2 inches apart to cool and setThis recipe makes roughly 24 cookies depending on the size of cookie drops you form
