To begin, prepare a 4 pound flat cut corned beef brisketRemove the beef from the packaging, rinse and pat dry with a paper towelCut all but a thin layer of fat from the beef if necessary

For the liquid pour 3 cups chicken broth over the brisketIf you would like a stronger flavor pour 1 bottle of Guinness beer over the beef and reduce the chicken broth to 1.5 cups
Seal the lid onto the Instant PotSet the Instant Pot to manual on high for 90 minutesAfter it has cooked, allow it to naturally release for 15 minutes, then remove the lid and set the corned beef aside
If you are cooking the side vegetables in the Instant Pot you will do so while the beef is restingAdd whole red potatoes, long carrots, and cabbage leaves to the Instant Pot and set on high for 10 minutes. Quick release when finished
