To begin, prepare a 4 pound flat cut corned beef brisket Remove the beef from the packaging, rinse and pat dry with a paper towel Cut all but a thin layer of fat from the beef if necessary

For the liquid pour 3 cups chicken broth over the brisket If you would like a stronger flavor pour 1 bottle of Guinness beer over the beef and reduce the chicken broth to 1.5 cups

Seal the lid onto the Instant Pot Set the Instant Pot to manual on high for 90 minutes After it has cooked, allow it to naturally release for 15 minutes, then remove the lid and set the corned beef aside

If you are cooking the side vegetables in the Instant Pot you will do so while the beef is resting Add whole red potatoes, long carrots, and cabbage leaves to the Instant Pot and set on high for 10 minutes. Quick release when finished
