Baking Tips for Perfect Oreo Halloween Cookies:

  • Use the Oreo Halloween Cookies that glow in the dark. If your local grocer is out try target, Walmart or Amazon.
  • Use room-temperature butter: It helps achieve that fluffy, creamy base.
  • Don’t overbake: The centers should look slightly underdone when you take them out — they’ll finish setting on the pan. But look for a tiny bit of browning around the edges of the cookies so you know they are done. And Leave them to cool on the cookie sheet about five minutes to set before removing to a cooling rack to keep the shape perfectly round.
  • Crush Oreos by hand: Too fine, and the color gets muddy. You want big, bright orange chunks!
  • Add festive flair: Top with extra Halloween sprinkles, candy monster eyes or drizzle with melted white chocolate for a spooky spiderweb effect.

Fun Variations For This Recipe:

  • Double Chocolate: Add ¼ cup cocoa powder to the dry ingredients for a rich chocolate base.
  • Monster Mash: Mix in candy eyes and orange M&M’s for an even more festive look.
  • Use extra orange frosting to make splashes of color on the cookie top as desired. (I did that)
  • Add 1/2 Cup of chopped walnuts or pecans for crunch.
