  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves galic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil (minced)
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasonings
  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese


  1. Heat a large skillet with deep sides to medium heat.
  2. Add in olive oil and ground sausage
  3. Season sausage with italian seasonings and salt and pepper.
  4. Once sausage is browned, drain grease
  5. Move sausage to one side of the pan and add in the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook 2-3 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  6. Pour in the marinara sauce, water, and worcestershire sauce.
  7. Stir to combine.
  8. Break lasagna noodles into 1 inch pieces and add them into the skillet.
  9. Bring to a low boil, reduce to medium low heat and cover.
  10. Stir occasionally until noodles are tender (about 15 minutes)
  11. While noodles cook, prepare the ricotta cheese mixture.
  12. In a small bowl add in the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, shredded parmesan cheese, and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper.
  13. Stir until smooth and combined.
  14. Once noodles are tender, remove the lid from the skillet,
  15. Add in large spoonfuls of ricotta cheese mixture, nestle it down into the sauce.
  16. Optional: Place in the oven and broil for 5 minutes until cheese is lightly browned and bubbly. (make sure your pan is oven safe before placing it in the oven)
  17. Garnish with additional chopped basil
