This skin care recipe is really easy to make! What a great organic healing product to have on hand; or give as a gift! Do you know someone who can benefit from a soothing, healing ointment? This recipe just might be an answer for them!
This is the second recipe I received from my friend, Bonnie. I introduced her to you in my post about her Healing Hand Scrub. If you haven’t read that post and tried that scrub Please go read about this amazing scrub.

These are recipes for skin care products that actually heal! Thank you Bonnie!
Bonnie is a wonderful woman (who raised another wonderful woman to be my daughter in law!) She is going to be my fellow parent in law when our children marry later this year 🙂
UPDATE: We are now Grandparents of Bill and Heathers baby boy. He’s a jewel!
Bonnie has dived into the world of DIY with her skin care recipes. I spent an afternoon with her and documented her three recipes. They are all so good!!! Wait till you see the next one! Her Natural Shimmering Lip Gloss Recipe is amazing!
Nowadays more and more of us are finding ways to make our own skin care and beauty products. Why? For Bonnie it’s because she would rather use an organic product without all the yucky additives so many or our ‘over the counter’ pharmaceuticals contain. When she told me she made her own skin care recipes I just knew you would love them! Organic skin care done at home makes so much sense! Much less money per recipe; and you can adapt the recipes to your individual needs.
I am so happy to have this homemade healing ointment in my cupboard! I have used it and it does soothe my skin in so many ways! But of course it would! This recipe is full of healing ingredients. Jojoba, beeswax, and the essential oils, Helichrysum and German Blue Chamomile are all noted for various healing properties related directly to healing the skin.
Bonnie’s recipes are opening a whole new world for me! I have heard of essential oils, but never used them myself, until now! I can tell you this ointment really works and so does her healing hand scrub.
Jojoba oil, beeswax, German Chamomile essential oil and Helichrysum Essential oil are all powerful healers! Read the linked articles at the bottom of this post to learn more about the healing properties of these ingredients.

Hi Nikki, THANK YOU for catching this error for us! Our new recipe card didn't pick it up in the ingredients list. I have restored the original recipe for you. You need 1 oz. Beeswax. Have a great day.
