Delicious peach pineapple smoothie that offers a wonderful blend of nutrients and notes of pineapple and peach flavors
I’ve been experimenting with smoothies again and this one is quickly becoming a favorite! I have really enjoyed incorporating coconut milk into my fruit smoothies. It offers a delicious hint of coconut and it’s very low calorie at only 80 calories per cup! I’m really trying to get my smoothies recipes down to a nutritious science. I don’t really worry too much about calorie count in the higher protein smoothies. But if I’m doing a fruit smoothie for a good boost of vitamins, then I try and shoot for lower calories to help boost the nutrition.
I also really enjoy using chia seeds and flax seeds. You really cannot taste them at all in the smoothies and they are so healthy for you! I’m breastfeeding right now and they are both recommended to boost breastmilk production. I notice a definite boost in ounces when I pump. I also try and throw in dark leafy greens when I can, I didn’t do it with this smoothie because i’m out of them right now. But a half a cup of spinach or kale would probably go really well in this smoothie if you wanted a little boost in vitamins! dark greens always give me loads of energy so I love incorporating them whenever I can.

Hi Renee, You may use whatever milk you prefer. It will change the flavor a bit but not enough to make a big difference.

This smoothie is on my short list. I love peaches and pineapple. Never thought to put them together. I, too, add chia seeds to so many things. Why not? They are super healthful and I kinda like the texture they give.
