How to Make an Easy Cheese Bread Recipe:
Cheesy Bread Recipe
- 1 loaf of sourdough bread ( or any artisan crusty bread)
- 2 cups of cubed, sliced or shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 bell (or hot) pepper (optional. as desired)
Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the sourdough loaf into 1-inch thick slices. Now cut it the other way to form a criss cross pattern leaving the bottom crust intact.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, dried basil, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the butter mixture onto each slice of bread.
- Stuff the bread with the cubes or slices of cheese. OR Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top and in between the bread slices.
- Place the bread slices on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
