No bake banana split cake

This no bake banana split cake does not require any baking or oven at all. The layers will set individually in the refrigerator. This cake has a bottom graham cracker crust layer that sets in the fridge. The next layer is a cream cheese layer that also needs time to set without baking. The final layer is a no bake pudding layer with cool whip folded in. This cake will need to remain refrigerated until you are ready to serve it.

TIPS:

  • Banana pudding or chocolate flavored pudding can replace the vanilla flavor.
  • You can recreate this dessert as many ways as there are to love banana splits. If you hate pineapple replace it with a fresh strawberry layer or use strawberry jam.
  • Caramel syrup can also be drizzled on top. Either to replace the chocolate or drizzle them both on. These flavors love each other.
  • If your graham crust is crumbly use a narrow frosting spatula or kitchen knife to spread cream cheese.
  • Keep this dessert chilled until serving.
  • This recipe can be made up to a day ahead before serving (covered) .
  • Just DON’T garnish it till serving to keep it fresh and lovely. Add the spray on whipped cream just before serving or omit it. It will melt into the cake if left out too long.

Banana split cake is a very easy no bake dessert. This cream cheese recipe assembles quickly and taste fantastic. Yummy, simple, comforting and indulgent. Your family will love it!

Ingredients

The crust:

  • 1 1/2 Cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 Cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/3 Cup melted butter

The filling layers:

  • 12 oz. cream cheese-softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Cups milk
  • 2-3 oz. packages vanilla pudding (or banana)
  • 2 Cups thawed cool whip-divided
  • 4 bananas
  • 1-20 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 1 Cup pecan pieces.
  • 1/4 Cup Hershey chocolate syrup(or as desired)

Garnishes:

  • Spray whipped cream (as desired)
  • 12 maraschino cherries

Instructions

For the Crust:

  1. Crush the graham crackers with a rolling pin in a bag or using your food processor.
  2. In a medium bowl combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 Cup sugar and melted butter. Make The Grahman Cracker Crumb Crust-Mixing

  4. Set in fridge until needed.

For the cream cheese layer:

  1. Put the softened cream cheese in a medium sized bowl.
  2. Beat the cream cheese with a hand mixer to break apart the cream cheese blocks. (do not over beat)Mixing Softened Cream Cheese
  3. Add 3/4 Cups sugar into cream cheese. Beat until smooth.

Pudding Layer:

  1. In a medium bowl combine milk and pudding mix.Make The Pudding
  2. Whisk together until smooth.
  3. Fold in 1 Cup of the cool whip with a fork or spoon until it is light and fluffy. Set aside.Folding In Cool Whip To Pudding

Finish assembly:

  1. Slice the bananas into 1/4 inch rounds. set aside.Slicing Bananas

  3. Set the banana slices flat down and touching on top of the pineapple layer.

  6. Sprinkle the pecan pieces evenly over the cool whip layer.

At serving:
